CHRISTINE LELACHEUR

Twenty-five-year-old Christine LeLacheur knows how to stage a successful fund-raiser. The marketing manager, along with her colleagues from Incite Solutions Inc., helped Winnifred Stewart Association launch the Mission in the Mall challenge. Last year, the Survivor/Amazing Race-type event at West Edmonton Mall raised $100,000 for people with developmental disabilities.
Under her direction, Incite was responsible for creating the challenges and working the logistics of the events. She counts it as one of her favorite accomplishments in her three years with Incite, but she enjoys all the projects she works on.
All of Incite’s employees are under 30 years old. LeLacheur credits them for any success she may make in the business world. Incite has a specialized program that makes it unique in a city burgeoning with marketing firms. It outsources its marketing department so that companies get the benefits of not just one person with limited skills, but the diverse talents of 11 employees.
Incite’s five-level Thrive marketing plan, developed by owners Jared Smith and Ted Kouri who just turned 30, includes research, planning, management and implementation, evaluation and improvement, organization and assessment. Incite focuses solely on one group of 40 specialized clients.
“Our clients have a lot of integrity. We believe in what they do,” explains LeLacheur
She feels very connected with her clientele, often reworking their images and brands, and providing market research, public relations, and project management services to them.
In her free time, when she’s not studying for her masters in business through Queen’s University, LeLacheur likes to listen to music and is an avid indie film watcher. Her favourite flicks include current hit Mad Hot Ballroom, and older ones like Motorcycle Diaries, and Amelie.
Travel is definitely in her blood. LeLacheur has traveled through the United States, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Though she’s been to Europe three times, including a school term living in Edinburgh, she’s determined to return. “I still haven’t covered all of it.”
